What the position is:
The Human Resource Information System (HRIS) Specialist serves as the functional system administrator and primary liaison between CommuteAir and its HRIS vendor, currently Dayforce. This role is responsible for the accurate creation, maintenance, and auditing of employee records, ongoing monitoring of system activity, and the development and execution of reports to support HR and cross-functional departments with reliable employee data and workforce analytics.
Essential Functions:
- Acts as system administrator for all modules in the HRIS (Dayforce) and liaison to vendor for support and maintenance
- Ensures data privacy, confidentiality and role-based access control
- Provides end-user access support and troubleshooting assistance.
- Assesses, implements and troubleshoots integrations to other company software in collaboration with the IT software team.
- Develops human resource solutions by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends; recommends action.
- Reviews current procedures and makes recommendations for improvement.
- Prepares weekly/monthly/annual reports for senior management
- Assist Senior Management with special projects as needed.
- Prepares and updates informational materials.
- Completes and submits DOL surveys.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Regular attendance is an essential function of all positions at CommuteAir.

General requirements & qualifications:
- Completion of a four (4) year undergraduate program in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field and 24 months of relevant work experienceOR completion of a two (2) year associate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field and 48 months of relevant work experience
- Master’s Degree in a related field or human resource professional certification desired but not required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI)
- Ability to work effectively with others
- Organized with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities regularly with attention to detail
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding sensitive issues and materials
- Critical thinking and problem solving
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently and in a team setting
- Travel (10)
- A valid state issued driver’s license
Physical Requirements:
Sedentary Work:
Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body, sedentary work involves sitting most of the time and walking /standing occasionally with or without accommodation.
Visual Acuity:
Includes inspection, close assembly, clerical administrative; This is a minimal standard for use with those whose work deals largely with preparing and analyzing data and figures, accounting, computer, extensive reading.
Environmental Conditions:
Inside environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
