We were meant to fly.As Laboratory Specialist, you will demonstrate expertise in organizing day-to-day laboratory operations, resolving issues and nonconformances using the FLIGHT DECK methodology, and introducing new analytical methods.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
Manage daily sample intake, workflow, and analysis throughput
Manage preventive and corrective maintenance orders; coordinate with external partners and service providers
Identify and drive improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) through lean problem-solving to improve turnaround time, first-pass yield, and on-time delivery; standardize sample flow and priority management
Train and mentor team members on methods, instrumentation, and compliance requirements
Support R&D activities, including planning and execution
Execute routine calibrations, qualifications, and preventive maintenance; coordinate service when needed
Communicate findings to cross-functional teams; escalate deviations and nonconformances promptly
Manage instrument logs, reference standards, and calibration certificates
Manage inventory of reagents, consumables, and reference materials; ensure proper labeling and storage
Share and discuss findings within a multidisciplinary team environment
Participate in internal and external audits; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Draw clear, concise, evidence-based conclusions
Adhere to and promote company workplace policies, including safety objectives
Contribute to a performance-oriented work environment
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific discipline
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Proficiency in Italian and English
Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

Previous experience in a chemical and/or metallurgy laboratory preferred
Passionate about using advanced laboratory instrumentation
