Job Description:
Job Purpose

Join our Catering team, where you will be part of an exciting business area that plays a vital role in delivering the Emirates ‘Fly Better’ experience. This team is responsible for a wide range of food and non-food functions, including catering, equipment, and amenities for inflight dining and special events.

If you are passionate about culinary excellence, logistics, and delivering world-class service, we invite you to apply and contribute to the success of Emirates Group. As a key part of our Service Delivery operations, our catering team makes crucial decisions that enhance the customer experience and elevate our growing global brand.

As a Regional Catering Operations Specialist in the Catering Team you will support the delivery of Emirates culinary experience across the global outstation network by coordinating menu implementation, supplier performance monitoring, and culinary compliance activities. You will ensure day-to-day operational accuracy of catering specifications, food quality, Halal standards, and customer experience in alignment with Emirates brand requirements. You will work closely with the Catering Manager and global catering partners to ensure effective communication, product accuracy, and timely execution of catering requirements.

In this role you will:

  • Monitor and review catering operational delivery by global service providers, analyse the key performance factors (KPI), and coordinate performance updates to ensure adherence to Emirates quality, food hygiene, and customer satisfaction standards.
  • Support and coordinate the rollout of menu changes across regional catering by ensuring accurate interpretation and implementation specification implementation, product validation, and operational readiness in each station.
  • Maintain and validate catering specifications, load requirements, and product records in Emirates systems, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
  • Track and analyse food and beverage consumption, monitor waste trends and support cost-optimisation activities in alignment with Procurement and Catering guidelines.
  • Review and verify food safety and Halal documentation checks. Flag compliance gaps and support operational compliance in partnership with Food Safety and regulatory teams.
  • Act as a key liaison between Catering Operations, Culinary Design, Food Safety, Procurement, and global outstation caterers to support effective coordination and issue resolution.
  • Analyse catering performance data, customer feedback, and audit findings to identify trends and support recommendations for continuous improvement
Qualification

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)
  • Have 5+ years of experience in In-Flight Service and/or In-Flight Catering.
  • Have experience in airline catering operations or large-scale production and distribution environments, such as in-flight catering, airline or airport catering, hospital catering, or similar institutional catering operations.
  • Possess a proven chef background with experience in hospitality and restaurant-style menu development and operations.
  • Demonstrate expertise in food safety, product development, innovation, and distribution.
  • Have an understanding of global food trends, premium service delivery standards, and cultural culinary nuances.
  • Show demonstrated experience in contract management and supplier relationship management.
  • Be familiar with airline regulations, catering logistics, and third-party vendor oversight.
  • Demonstrate the ability to adapt and innovate within a fast-paced, global hospitality environment.
  • Possess exceptional communication skills in English (verbal and written).
