Create Impact Where It Matters MostPDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Technical Training Specialist to support a leading aerospace partner in Sylmar, CA. In this full-time, 6-month consulting role, you’ll take the lead in designing, delivering, and refining technical training programs that directly enhance the capabilities of technicians working on cutting-edge solar cell, panel, and wing manufacturing.

What Youll Do – Core ResponsibilitiesAs a Technical Training Specialist, youll serve as both educator and innovator, bridging the gap between production goals and workforce development:
Training Development & Delivery
Design and implement targeted training programs for manufacturing technicians
Partner with subject matter experts to create dynamic content, from manuals to e-learning modules
Lead engaging, hands-on training sessions using simulations, workshops, and on-the-job learning
Build and maintain a high-functioning, on-site training center
Documentation & Evaluation
Maintain detailed records of training materials, session outcomes, and trainee performance
Develop assessments to measure knowledge retention and practical skills
Collect and analyze feedback to continuously improve training content and delivery
Collaboration & Compliance
Work with production leaders to identify skill gaps and align training with operational goals
Ensure all training meets SPL, Aerospace training standards, and safety compliance requirements
Promote a safety-first culture through effective education on procedures and emergency protocols
What You Bring – Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Education or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in technical training or instructional design, preferably in manufacturing
Expertise in adult learning principles and hands-on training delivery
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse teams
Proficiency in training software and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Skills That Set You ApartExperience in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma environments
Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes and equipment
Sharp organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to drive a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence

Pay Details: $39.74 to $42.00 per hour
