About the Role

An exciting opportunity to join the Qatar Airways Finance - Warranties Department as Warranty Recovery Specialist. The role will research and analyse all benefits accrued from aircraft, airframe, inspections, modifications, Engine Manufacturers and Commitment Letters as per the applicable Contracts and Agreement Terms and Conditions. To do analysis and provide data reporting on KPls, and to deliver TPM process improvements related to Warranty Process and departmental efficiency drives

Your duties would include:

• Analyzing failures for correction, modification, upgrade and/or replacement of components upon scheduled and unscheduled removals ex Aircraft, Engines, Power Plants, Wheels and Brakes and Systems.

• Receiving, compiling and examining warranty rejections, shop findings, quotes and invoices for repair, overhaul, scrappage, replacement and or credits in lieu thereof.

• Supplementing arguments to Quality Assurance, Aircraft Maintenance, Cost Control and/or Legal Department with data and information invariably required for TORs and corrective actions.

• Preparing weekly, monthly and annual performance reports.

• Responsible for ensuring that the Warranty Technical Procedures Manual (TPM) is kept up to date and relevant.

• Responsible for preparing weekly, monthly and annual performance reports for the Team.

• Responsible for analyzing, monitoring and reporting team performance to KP ls.

• Responsible for identifying areas for process improvement and suggesting and implementation of mitigation solutions accordingly.

• Responsible for providing on the job training to new recruits and peers.

• Responsible for ensuring that the data held in the e-Warranty system is being correctly input and is accurate for the purpose of reporting.

• To help set annual warranty budget forecasting. To help manage warranty budget deliverables and to report delivery against budget forecast.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join our Qatar Airways Finance - Warranties team. The ideal candidate should possess the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering is preferred.

Essential

• Excellent in verbal and written communication in English language

• Good analytical skills

• Ability to focus on details

• Excellent knowledge in MS office applications

Preferred

• Excellent in contract interpretation skills

• Excellent negotiation skills

• Good judgment ability
