Job Description:

Reporting Relationship: General Manager / Director of Operations

Status: Full-Time

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8AM – 5PM

Department: Avionics

Job Summary & Purpose: AI Systems is looking for an Avionics Manager with aspirations to grow as a leader within our business. From troubleshooting to installing a custom harness, this position calls for a driven individual who is detail-oriented and ready to take charge in a competitive industry. Salaries dependent upon experience.

Essential Functions:

An Avionics Manager's primary functions include, but are not limited to:

Manage a group of 2-3 avionics technicians.
Repair and modify aircraft avionics and electrical components.
Utilize technical knowledge of avionics and electrical systems in troubleshooting practices and corrective measures.
Build aircraft harnesses and instrument panels to specification using engineering documents.
Read and comprehend wire diagrams and schematics.
Direct and support avionics projects with a primary emphasis on Garmin avionics system
Mentor and train avionics personnel; provide hands-on technical assistance and advanced troubleshooting when required

Job Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of avionics experience, including hands-on troubleshooting and installations
Minimum 2 years of leadership or management experience
Critical thinking and problem solving abilities
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, installation manuals and regulatory documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

Garmin factory training and/or authorized service center experience
Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
Knowledge of Garmin G1000, G3X, GTN series, GFC autopilots, and related GA avionics systems

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Physically able to lift up to 100 lbs
Physically able to work in tight and/or uncomfortable spaces
Work hours in excess of 40 hours per week may be required at times
