JOB TITLE: C17 Avionics Tech - Free Housing Support

Summary:
Apply advanced technical knowledge to resolve complex issues beyond standard documentation.
Troubleshoot and analyze avionics circuits and signal flow using specialized test equipment (e.g., pulse generators, distortion analyzers, frequency synthesizers, and computer-controlled tools).
Perform bench and flight line operational testing in accordance with DOD, OEM, company, and supplier directives.
Install, test, modify, and repair wire bundles and electronic components on aircraft.
Interpret blueprints, wire diagrams, work instructions, and engineering data to complete assignments.
Lead and train junior technicians; may guide teams on complex projects.
Diagnose and resolve assembly and installation issues; maintain quality and safety standards.
Utilize precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and conformance to specifications.
Maintain required certifications, licenses, and permits.
Work in confined spaces, ascend/descend ladders, and lift up to 35 lbs.
Support cross-functional teams (e.g., General Mechanics, Structures, Electrics) to meet cost and schedule goals.
Comply with Lockout/Tagout and Hazardous Energy procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Experience with the C-17 or other heavy aircraft platforms
Experience with avionics systems such as Communications, Navigation, Data Links, Radar, and Weapons Systems
3+ years of experience in applied mathematics, statistics, or a related field
4+ years of experience interpreting schematics, specifications, and assembly drawings
3+ years of experience working with aircraft computer systems and standard office software
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Desired Skills:
Experience with C-17 modifications
Hands-on experience with COMSEC, Radar, or Electronic Systems
Ability to operate forklifts, mobile cranes, and electric powered lifts
