Embedded Software Engineer job in Dedham, Massachusetts is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Aerospace and Defense company. In this job you will work with custom Hardware, built in-house, for our Cyber group, on a cross functional team responsible for developing mission critical NSA-certified Cybersecurity devices in a rapidly growing product line
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain real-time, multi-threaded embedded software on custom hardware platforms
- Work on Android and Linux-based operating systems, including Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and Android System Application development
- Apply object-oriented design principles using C++, Java, UML, and model-based design tools such as IBM Rhapsody
- Support long-lifecycle product development with periodic maintenance and technology refresh cycles
- Integrate and develop Hypervisor and ARM virtualization technologies within secure embedded systems and implement low-level components including device drivers and board-level support
Qualifications:
- U.S. citizen with active Department of Defense Secret security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related STEM field and 5+ years of job-related experience, or Masters degree and 3+ years of job-related experience
- Real-Time multi-threaded Embedded software, preferably on Linux and Android OSes.
- Model-based development, preferably Rhapsody.
- Android Open Source Project (AOSP)-based development (Android Operating System development)
- Extensive experience with Object Oriented design and programming, preferably in UML, C++ and Java.
- Android System Application development
- Long development lifecycle and product lifespans, requiring maintenance and regular technology refresh.
- ARM virtualization extensions, preferably Hypervisor.

- Ability to turn CONOPS, Specifications or Requirements into software design, code, test plans, and then execute testing/debugging.
- Proficiency with software tools supporting Integrated Development Environments (IDE), version control, defect tracking, and scripting.
