We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Publications Engineer with 1 to 4 years of experience in creating and revising aerospace technical documentation. The ideal candidate will be skilled in developing Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMMs), Component Maintenance Procedures (CMPs) and other related publications, in accordance with aerospace standards such as ATA iSpec 2200, S1000D, and ASD-STE100 (Simplified Technical English).
The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, strong technical comprehension, and experience with industry-standard authoring and illustration tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Create, revise, and review technical documentation such as:
Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs)
Component Maintenance Procedures (CMPs)
Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMMs)
Service Bulletins (SBs)
Service Information Letters (SILs)
Test Files (T-Files), CDFs, and other Technical Publications
Author assembly, disassembly, and repair procedures for aircraft components and systems.
Collaborate with product design and manufacturing teams to gather technical inputs and ensure accurate maintenance and repair documentation.
Ensure conformance of all documentation with industry standards such as ATA iSpec 2200, ATA100, and S1000D.
Apply Simplified Technical English (ASD-STE100) for clarity and consistency in authored content.
Utilize PLM tools such as Teamcenter and Enovia for data management and document control.
Responsible for maintaining documentation quality, accuracy, and project schedule adherence.
Contribute to productivity improvements and process standardization across documentation projects.
Tools & Technical Skills:
Authoring Tools: Adobe FrameMaker, Arbortext Editor, Microsoft Office, S1000D-compliant applications
Illustration Tools: IsoDraw, 3DVIA, CATIA (advantageous)
Familiarity with PLM Systems: Teamcenter, Enovia
Solid understanding of electronics, mechanical, or aerospace engineering principles
Strong knowledge of technical documentation standards:
