Job Description:

Summary

Senior Quality Engineer resides in the Quality Team within SSSQ Department. A Technical Specicalist in aviation quality engineering management and reports to Manager, Quality in supporing new aircraft delivery and aircraft lease return project, Staff is primarily responsible inducting new aircraft and aircraft lease return, sales and lease back. Staff will also provide support to the quality team in terms other quality management system elements.

Job Responsibilities:

1) New Aircraft Delivery (Customer Production Inspection, Delivery Week aircraft inspection and document review, CoA application, CoR application, Noise application and aircraft station license application) 

  • Aircraft Inspection

  • Delivery documentation review

  • Review Delivery AD list and generate Scoot AD list.

  • Review and file CAAS (AW) 24 form

  • Review and file CAAS (AW) 23 form

  • Review production documents and draft CAAS ANR121-2-01 form.

  • Review LOPA and Emergency Equipment Drawing

  • File Aircraft Station License (ASL)

  • Review Delivery SB list

  • Review Delivery Component listing

  • Review test flight report (Production and customer acceptance flight)

  • Review Aircraft, Engine and APU log book

  • Review Production concession, non-conformities report

2) Aircraft lease return (De-reg application, Export CoA application, facility CAAS inspection)

  • Aircraft Inspection

  • Documentation reviews, compile and build binders of Aircraft maintenance records to the lessor according to the listing provided:

3) Airframe Records 

  •  Records of all ‘A’ checks and ‘C’ checks 

  •  Airworthiness directives (ADs) including method of compliance and dirty finger prints 

  •  Service bulletins (SBs) including method of compliance and dirty finger prints 

  •  Structural repairs and damage status (including dent and buckle chart) including dirty finger prints 

  •  Inventory of on condition components monitoring (OCCM) and hard time (HT) components including retrieval and review of all approved release to service certification and related dirty fingerprints

4) Engine Records 

  •  Complete back-to-birth (BTB) traceability for all life limited parts (LLPs) 

  •  ADs including method of compliance and dirty finger prints 

  •  SBs including method of compliance and dirty finger prints 

  •  All historical engine/module shop visit reports including certification 

  •  Engine log book/master records of installation/removals including time since new (TSN)/cycles since new (CSN) at each installation and removal event 

  •  Line replaceable unit (LRU) listing including all installed quick engine change (QEC) and Engine accessory components

5) APU Records 

  •  ADs including method of compliance and dirty finger prints 

  •  SBs including method of compliance and dirty finger prints 

  •  All historical shop visit reports & reason for removal 

  •  APU log/master records of installation and removals 

6) Landing Gears Records 

  • Complete BTB traceability for all LLP parts 

  • Last overhaul mini pack 

Any other tasks and projects assigned by Manager, Quality

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mechanical, aeronautical or related field and/or possess 5 - 6 years’ experience (in aviation industry preferably) managing aviation quality preferred.

  • Possess a valid CAAS SAR-66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence would be advantageous.

  • Completion of CAAS M09 and M10 courses or equivalent.

  • Preferably attended Quality Management System (QMS) internal Auditor course or equivalent.

  • Good understanding of CAAS ANO, ANR, SAR regulatory airworthiness requirements, including ISO 9001 QMS principles.

  • Possess good working knowledge in the operations Fleet Technical Management or Maintenance and Repair Organization.

  • Possess good experience in aircraft sales and induction would be advantageous.

  • Familiar with commercial aircraft systems, maintenance activities amd its operations.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Tableau, or any other analytical and audit management tools.

  • Able to travel for work.
