The Systems Engineering Directorate is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon, responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, and System Security Engineering (SSE). 

The Land Warfare and Missile Defense Systems (LWMDS) Department supports Raytheon by providing world class technical expertise and engineering leadership to drive the design and development of world-class Air and Missile Defense Systems, Sensors, and Effectors. The LWMDS department leads all aspects of Systems Engineering that drive the development of complex systems to support Raytheon’s Land and Air Defense Systems (L&ADS) programs from our Tewksbury / Andover locations.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• The individual will perform Systems Engineering activities and Jurisdiction Classification Assessment (JCA) activities on one or more of our programs. 

• Support various Programs such as Patriot, Air and Missile Defense Capability (AMDC), Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS), Radar Development Contract (RDC), Standard Missile, and other sensor or effector programs. 

• You will be responsible for developing requirements and updating and/or maintaining Interface Description Documents.

• You will collaborate with other stakeholders such as customers and engineers from outside of Raytheon.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree and ten (10) years of engineering experience

• Experience with Missile Defense Systems or other systems engineering experience

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Value:

• Advanced degree in EE, CE, Physics, Math, ME, Aerospace.

• Detailed Knowledge of Integrated Air and Missile Defense systems including radar, interceptor, Command and Control systems

• Detailed knowledge of Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System (IBCS)

• Experience using DOORs

• Strong collaboration skills

• Control Account Management Experience

• Strong written and verbal communications skills

• Modeling & Simulation development experience

• Data analysis

• JCA experience

Clearance Information: Clearance Information: This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
