The Boeing Product Security Engineering (PSE) Risk Management Capability is seeking a Senior Product Security Engineer located in Seattle, WA or Everett, WA. The selected candidate will execute on our vision and share our passion for securing our products and the aerospace ecosystem.
Our Boeing products’ capabilities, credibility, production, safety, and security solutions require us to focus on the most relevant threats over the product lifecycle. Boeing also needs to have an eye on the horizon for emerging threats to our products, services and brand. The selected candidate will optimize the information we collect internally and externally, enabling Boeing to enhance the cyber resilience of our products, services and brand, and will lead team members across the company in working groups focused on knowledge aggregation, analysis, and distribution for PSE. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise, communication, coordination, and leadership capabilities.
The Boeing PSE Operating Group and Function is a comprehensive engineering organization established by Boeing to ensure the security, resiliency, and safety of all products and services throughout their lifecycle, integrating standards, risk management, governance, and collaboration with stakeholders. This position is assigned to the PSE Risk Management Capability, a key centralized Boeing engineering capability in our PSE Operating Group, enabling prioritized risk management with centralized cyber threat information and supporting mitigation.
Position Responsibilities:
Establish and exercise the Boeing Aerospace Cyber Threat Team (ACTT) to monitor and compile information on the cyber threat landscape, including emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and threat actors, providing ongoing collection, and performing analysis and distribution of cyber threat information in pace with emerging and rapidly evolving cyber risk, for PSE Risk Management
Lead the ACTT to engage across Boeing and provide understanding and support to address adversity and risk to our products and services, for PSE Risk Management
Serve as principal company representative with Industry and Government communities to identify risks and lead harmonization of improvements via threat working groups, standards groups, and test community and security offices, for PSE Risk Management
Lead establishment and curation of relevant adversity and threat cards for products and operating environments to support all Boeing PSE for PSE Risk Management
Provide timely and accurate threat intelligence reports and briefings to senior leadership and stakeholders
Identify and bridge opportunities for Boeing Defense and Services organizations and representative PSE Leadership to support business capture of risk reduction / improvement efforts for products and services that ensure continued safe, secure, and resilient operations. (Examples: platform cyber resiliency / mission assurance technical solutions, platform risk reduction and continuous improvement as part of product release planning,)
Inform engagements of and contribute to special projects with US Government Red Team and Development / Operational Test community for the Director of PSE T&E
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of cyber intelligence operations.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry
10+ years of experience in product security, cybersecurity, or a related field
10+ years of experience leading projects or engineering teams
5+ years of experience working with Department of Defense (DoD) organizations, projects and/or programs
5+ years of experience leading and mentoring a technical team
5+ years of experience in cyber intelligence, threat analysis, or related cybersecurity roles
Strong understanding of cyber threat landscapes, attack vectors, and threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
Able to travel both domestically and internationally
Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance or have held an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance in the last 24 months
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience facilitating and/or supporting Cyber Table Top, Cyber Risk Assessment, or equivalent exercises
Experience coordinating and communicating technical content to a diverse audience
Project management skills such as scheduling, resource management, and performance measures
Demonstrated ability to identify new opportunities and engage with stakeholders to define, plan, resource and deliver solutions
Advanced knowledge of system security domains (e.g., information assurance, intrusion detection, software protection, software assurance, communications security, encryption and key management, network security, certification and accreditation)
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Summary Pay Range: $207,400 – $280,600
