Server Build Engineer (Maritime)
Warrington Travel Required Weekend Work & Overtime Expected
We’re recruiting for an experienced Server Build Engineer to join a specialist maritime delivery team supporting complex technical deployments in highly secure and fast-paced environments.
This role will heavily focus on node building, server configuration, and infrastructure deployment, with a strong emphasis on VMware virtualisation, Cisco networking, and Microsoft technologies. You’ll play a key role in building, configuring, commissioning, and supporting resilient technical environments from factory build through to live deployment onboard maritime platforms.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and configuring nodes using VMware, Microsoft Server technologies, and Cisco infrastructure
- Supporting software assurance, patching, commissioning, and live/federated connectivity
- Hardware installation, testing, and technical troubleshooting across maritime sites
- Supporting data migration and post-deployment engineering activities
- Maintaining technical documentation and escalating issues where required
We’re looking for candidates with:
- Strong experience in VMware environments, Cisco hardware/networking, and Microsoft server technologies
- Experience in infrastructure, server builds, or technical engineering environments
- Excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to travel and out-of-hours work
Must be eligible and willing to undergo high-level security clearance
