Software Engineer - Simulation Development

(GMD Weapon System)

Onsite in Huntsville, AL

Minimum Starting Salary: $70,000/Year

Actual salary is based on experience and quallifications.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain simulation software tools that support performance analysis of the GWS

• Program in C++ to implement simulation models and test scenarios

• Support system and unit-level test development

• Collaborate with systems and test engineers to align simulation results with system requirements

• Document design and participate in technical reviews and briefings

• Use Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket

• Apply understanding of the Systems Engineering Lifecycle in the simulation context

• Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, fully onsite team environment

• Travel up to 10 for test support or program integration events

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM-related field

• 2+ years experience with a Bachelor’s degree (0+ years with a Master’s)

• Proficiency in C++ programming

• Must be a U.S. Citizen eligible for Secret Clearance

• Must be willing to work 100 onsite

• Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with simulation frameworks or system modeling tools

  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, or similar Agile collaboration tools

  • Exposure to the Systems Engineering Lifecycle

  • Experience developing unit and system-level test code

  • Strong analytical thinking and technical documentation skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team
