The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Software Quality Engineer (Experienced/Senior) to join our Boeing Enterprise Software Quality Team. This position will be based out of Mesa, AZ, Hazelwood, MO, Berkely, MO, Greenwood Village, CO, Colorado Springs, CO, Huntington Beach, CA, Huntsville, AL, Oklahoma City, OK, or Philadelphia, PA.
Our team of highly-motivated, customer-focused engineers’ partners with Boeing Software Development programs to help develop and maintain a culture of first-time quality throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). As a member of this team, you have the autonomy and responsibility to work with programs to assure the right process for developing, controlling, and verifying software products is planned and complied with, and effectively improving the quality of our software products – whether developed by Boeing or provided by suppliers.
A broad background in software development practices, tools, and processes is required to be successful in this position. The ideal candidate will be a team player, self-motivated, and able to quickly learn the responsibilities of the position. Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills, are crucial for success.
Position Responsibilities:
• Actively participates in program activities, from initial proposal and planning to verification/certification and delivery
• Verifies software lifecycle activities and products comply with approved software processes, plans, and standards
• Performs Software Conformity Reviews and supports other program milestone reviews
• Identifies process or product non-compliances; supports root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions and other defect investigation/prevention activities
• Teams with equipment managers of supplier products to monitor and evaluate supplier software development performance
• Acts as an independent set of eyes and ears for Program Managers and the customer, highlighting potential best practices on the team, as well as areas for improvement
• Supports the identification and analysis of program/project software quality metrics to improve software quality and manage risk
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
• 5+ years of experience with Software Development lifecycle (including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test)
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems tied to software (QMS)
• 1+ years of experience with supporting software quality engineering with AS9115 and/or DO-178 requirements
• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• DoD military standards
• Experience with products developed using Agile software development practices
• Experience with DevSecOps and associated tools
• Cloud Computing experience

Summary Pay Range/Experienced: $83,300 - $128,800
Summary Pay Range/Senior: $99,450 - $155,250
