Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
Lead systems engineering processes across the full development life cycle:
Requirements analysis, definition, allocation, and management
Functional and performance analysis
System architecture development and design decomposition
Interface definition and control
Integration, verification, and validation planning and execution
Conduct detailed trade studies, architecture evaluations, and technical risk assessments
Collaborate with the Chief Engineer, program leadership, and cross-disciplinary teams to drive critical design decisions
Support DoD cyber, environmental, and hardware/software qualification activities
Support testing strategy development, system acceptance testing, and failure investigations
Act as a technical mentor and lead for engineering teams, ensuring alignment with project milestones, cost, and schedule targets
Develop and present technical material to internal stakeholders and U.S. government customers
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related field (Science, Engineering, or Mathematics)
8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 6+ years
Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret clearance (preferred to be active at hire)
Demonstrated background in systems engineering or test engineering, with project leadership experience
- Preferred Experience:
Underwater vehicle development
Torpedo guidance & control systems
Embedded software and FPGA-based hardware development and qualification
DoD project execution including Cybersecurity and Environmental Compliance
Development of common system architectures, standard interfaces (MOSA), and change control
Full life cycle systems engineering from concept to delivery
Test plan development, test execution, and issue resolution
Trade study formulation and evaluation
Risk and opportunity management
Cost, schedule, and resource estimation
