Systems Engineer - MBSE (GMD Weapon System)

Onsite in Huntsville, AL

Minimum Starting Salary: $70,000/Year

Actual salary is based on experience and quallifications.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the architecture, development, and documentation of GMD Weapon System design using MBSE principles

• Develop and maintain requirements in DOORS, ensuring traceability and accuracy

• Author and validate system-level and interface requirements

• Support test and verification planning, linking test objectives to system requirements

• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams of varying experience levels

• Participate in technical reviews and support presentations to internal and external stakeholders

• Work independently and as part of a collaborative, fast-paced team

• Support travel of up to 10 for meetings or customer engagements

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
• Active Secret Clearance required to start

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM-related field

• 2+ years of relevant Systems Engineering experience

• Hands-on experience with IBM DOORS

• Recent experience in authoring and managing system requirements

• Must be on-site full time (no telework/hybrid option available)

• Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with GMD system components and architecture

  • Experience with MBSE tools, specifically CAMEO (MagicDraw)

  • Understanding of test and verification planning and processes

  • Prior exposure to defense systems development or missile defense programs

  • Strong skills in critical thinking, technical documentation, and presentations

  • Experience working within DoD acquisition environments
