We're hiring our first dedicated Product Manager for Flight Operations Technology to own the end-to-end implementation of our flight operations platform and supporting systems. This is a foundational role: you'll define the product requirements, lead vendor implementations, and help define the operational technology backbone that powers every flight.
You'll work at the intersection of aviation operations and technology, translating complex operational workflows into system requirements and ensuring our technology investments deliver real operational value. Collaborates With: VP Flight Operations, Director of Maintenance, Dispatch, Pilots, Engineering
Direct Reports: None initially; potential to build team as we scale
Location: Strong Preference for Ft. Lauderdale, FL but will consider exceptional candidates that need a hybrid arrangement.
Flight Operations Implementation
Lead the full implementation of our core SAAS flight operations platform:
- Develop comprehensive Product Requirements Document (PRD) covering all operational workflows
- Define configuration requirements for scheduling, quoting, dispatch, and crew management
- Own the implementation roadmap with clear milestones, dependencies, and success metrics
- Manage vendor relationships, driving accountability and issue resolution
- Lead UAT and training programs for dispatch, crew scheduling, and operations teams
- Define integration requirements with NetSuite (finance), Salesforce (CRM), and data platform
Flight Operations Technology Ecosystem
- Own product strategy and implementation for the complete flight ops technology stack:
- Flight Planning: Evaluate and implement solutions (ForeFlight, Flight Keys, or equivalent)
- Crew Planning & Scheduling: Define requirements for duty time tracking, qualification management, and schedule optimization
- Maintenance Tracking: Partner with maintenance leadership on MRO system requirements (CAMP, Traxxall, or similar)
- Electronic Tech Log: Implement paperless flight logging (Centric 5 or equivalent)
- Dispatch & Flight Following: Configure real-time tracking and dispatch package automation
- Safety Management System (SMS): Implement safety reporting and risk management tooling
- Trip Support: Integrate FBO, fuel, and handling services (FlightBridge, FuelerLinx, EVO)
- FOQA: Coordinate flight data monitoring implementation with OEM programs
Cross-Functional Integration
- Define data flows between flight operations, finance, CRM, and customer-facing applications
- Partner with engineering on API integrations and custom development requirements
- Ensure flight operations data feeds real-time dashboards and analytics
- Collaborate on AI scheduling engine requirements and training data specifications
