Reports To: Finance Business Partner

The Finance Business Analyst sits under the Customer Lifestyle team of the Financial Services Department mainly responsible for partnering with relevant business units to provide strategic insights, support business growth and ensure compliance. The Finance Business analyst will also be responsible for preparing reports and supporting annual budget and regular forecasts to drive financial decisions.

• Prepare monthly management reports, performance analysis and presentations
• Review, process, and upload general ledger postings into the accounting systems; and review monthly accounts to ensure they represent a true and fair view of the relevant BU
• Support production of annual budget and regular forecasts; and drive financial analysis and decisions
• Prepare and design sales and cost reports for business stakeholders to track performance and fulfil needs of an evolving business; and develop dashboard of key financial performance indicators for management and business units
• Maintain and ensure compliance of the relevant Business Unit to the Lifestyle and CX policies, and DoA
• Assist in the maintenance, monitoring and improvement of internal controls and processes
• Proactively reach out to key business stakeholders to build strong working relationships and acquire business knowledge needed to provide insights
• Be a subject matter expert in Finance contributing to the delivery of strategy and results of Lifestyle
• Ensure financial reports are properly prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, the Cathay’s accounting policies, Listing Rules and other statutory requirements
• Assist Finance Business Partner on ad-hoc requirements and other initiatives

• Degree in Accounting/ Finance or related discipline
• Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting or management reporting
• Excellent excel skills
• Analytic mind and a desire to learn and partner with the business
• Team player with good problem solving and interpersonal skills
• Fast learner, strong sense of ownership, result-oriented, detail-minded and committed to deadline
• Able to perform in rapid changing and fast-paced environment
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
• Knowledge of SAP is advantageous
