As an aviation upholsterer, you will be responsible for creating and installing high-quality upholstery for a variety of aircraft. You will work with a team of experienced professionals to ensure that every detail is perfect, from the stitching to the finishing touches.
Responsibilities of this position include:
- Performs basic stripping operations of fabric from aircraft surfaces to prepare for remodeling and recovering
- Work with leather and fabrics to refurbish aircraft seating to high-quality levels
- Patterns, cuts, sews, cements, and trims upholstery fabrics for drapery, divans, chairs, headliners, side panels, containers, and engine and propeller covers
- Assists in covering flight control surfaces
- Perform routing and complex sewing operations
- Documents all work accomplished in a clear, concise, and accurate manner
- Works with the team in order to complete established goals
