We are seeking for a skilled Material Handler to join our team in Pompano Beach, Florida.
The Material Handler controls the flow of material movements i.e., shipping and receiving and warehouse storing and issuing of aircraft parts and MRO supplies within our service center and outside vendors / suppliers. He / She is responsible for inventory accuracy and will conduct cycle counts as required, investigates all inventory errors, and corrects. Material Handler is responsible to be sure all aircraft products and parts are properly stored and are accompanied with the proper documentation, i.e., 8130, EASA and or Certificate of Conformance. All Material Handling Responsibilities will be conducted per the Repair Station & Quality Control Manual.Job description
Responsibilities:
- Must check the SQ01 to print pick tickets periodically (15-30 mins) when requirements are ready pick and issue to Aircrafts utilizing MIGO transaction. Bag, tag, label and place in correct aircraft bin location.
- Receive all incoming products, visually inspects, and generate Goods Receipt Tickets. Properly stores and protects parts in approved bins and locations.
- Generates repair orders and purchase orders for outgoing products to be overhauled and repaired, making sure that all warranty parts are processed to avoid expiration dates.
- Receives and processes paperwork for repaired/overhauled parts and scans into SAP completing proper transactions.
- Performs daily routine cycle counts and investigates all discrepancies.
- Generates shipping labels and prepares and packages parts and assemblies in shipping boxes to avoid damage during shipment.
- Loading and unloading of delivery truck per arrival.
- Monitors stock levels in locations and notifies Pompano Supervisor and Supply Chain Manager to avoid stock outages.
- Maintains awareness and the need to reorder consumable supplies.
- When requested works closely with the Sales Team and fills in to support Customer sales as needed.
- Expedites and tracks parts and product sent out for repairs/overhauls and updates Pompano Supervisor and Supply Chain Manager.
- Maintains a clean, safe working environment for self and co-workers.
- Performs other duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department and team.

Profile and other information related to the position
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset.
- Experience in a Stores/Stockroom type environment (previous aviation experience a plus).
- Experience with ERP, MRP software preferably SAP
- Experienced in various shipping software’s i.e., FedEx, UPS and International
- Experienced with the operation of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Should have knowledge of typical PC/business software applications. (I.e., Word, Excel, and Internet.
- Must be a self-starter requiring minimum supervision and perform job assignments with a very high degree of accuracy.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interact with a wide variety of people.
- Good oral and written communication skills; able to read, comprehend and create written and verbal instructions in the English language.
- Must be able to prioritize work assignments and have excellent attention to detail.
- Must be able to walk around, stand and be on feet all day.

Compensation for this position begins at $20.00 per hour. Offers to selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
