Job Title: A&P MechanicJob Description
This position involves working in a repair station for corporate and general aviation clients. You will conduct thorough inspections of aircraft systems to detect wear, defects, and other issues, and perform routine and non-routine maintenance tasks according to regulations and safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft systems to detect wear, defects, and other issues.
- Perform routine and non-routine maintenance tasks according to regulations and safety procedures.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in aircraft systems and components.
- Document all maintenance and repair work in accordance with FAA regulations.
- Assist with a variety of tasks around the hangar as needed.
- Follow maintenance manual criteria depending on maintenance cycle.
- Handle electrical and engine-driven component troubleshooting.
Essential Skills- A&P license with 2+ years of corporate, turbo prop, or general aviation experience.
- Knowledge of aircraft maintenance, particularly with King Air and Pratt & Whitney PT6.
- Experience working in a 145 aviation repair station.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with King Air, Honda, Citations airframes, and P&W PT6 is ideal but not required.
- Textron product experience is a nice-to-have.
- New military individuals with new A&P licenses are encouraged to apply.

Work Environment
Based in Baton Rouge, LA, the work environment includes a hangar with 18 staff members and minimal office personnel. Employees are assigned tasks by a lead and work on different types of planes and issues, providing a non-repetitive experience. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with flexibility depending on workload.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
