Job Title: AW609 Mechanical Technician
Job DescriptionThe experimental operations Technician will assist in supporting flight test operational activity, perform reconfiguration activities to ensure aircraft is properly fitted for each certification and experimental test activity, and perform functional test procedures to ensure mechanical systems are functioning within design parameters. The Technician will perform mechanical system troubleshooting to identify non-conformities and defects. Overtime and weekend work is expected.
Responsibilities
- Assist the experimental operations team to perform inspections on the aircraft as instructed through Engineering Technical Instructions.
- Participate with the team to prepare the experimental aircraft for flight by performing the daily inspection, ensuring all maintenance is complete, towing, launching, and recovering aircraft into the hangar using SOP.
- Participate in Functional Test Procedures to test systems on the ground prior to flight to ensure system functionality and flight safety.
- Perform first-of-type and prototype installations and software with engineering input and work instructions.
- Follow job cards to remove and install LRUs and components as needed.
- Work with the team to achieve a high performing team with focus on maintaining a highly motivated workforce that enjoys being part of the aviation experience.
Essential Skills- Skilled in Mechanical & Structural Operations
- Experience working on Tilt-Rotor aircraft (Preferred)
- Experience working on experimental/development aircraft (Preferred)
- A&P License (Preferred)
- Proficient in aircraft maintenance, inspection assembly, inspections, and troubleshooting
- Ability to work any shift (Days/Swing/Nights)
- Ability to travel for off-site aircraft testing

Work Environment
The work environment includes working with advanced aviation technologies and equipment. The position requires flexibility to work any shift (Days/Swing/Nights) and includes the possibility of travel for off-site aircraft testing. The role involves working in a hangar and may require adherence to safety protocols and dress codes.

This is a Permanent position based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $70720.00/yr.
Relocation Package
-60 days paid housing
-$10K movement of personal belonging paid to moving company
-$5K resettlement bonus
-Reimbursement for mileage, meals, housing.

This is a fully onsite position in Philadelphia,PA.
