Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to perform the installation, testing, and repair of mechanical and electrical aircraft systems. This includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and working on complex systems such as airframes, engines, and ground vehicles, as required. The technician will work independently, using engineering drawings to perform mechanical and structural work on various military and FAA fixed and rotary wing aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform installation, testing, and repair of mechanical and electrical aircraft systems, including preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
• Work on mechanical and structural components of airframes, engines, and ground vehicles
• Assist in the development of engineering drawings
• Read and interpret mechanical fabrication and installation drawings
• Install and troubleshoot mechanical systems on military and FAA fixed and rotary wing aircraft
• Use basic hand tools, sheet metal modification tools, and aircraft manuals
Required Qualifications:
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, air tools, and aircraft manuals
• At least 4 years of related experience in aircraft maintenance
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
• Heavy aircraft maintenance experience, preferably with DC-9 / MD80 aircraft
• Skilled in the use of rivet tools, sheet metal, and machine tools (such as shears, brakes, notchers, saws, milling machines, lathes)
• Experience with measuring tools and test instruments
• Associates Degree in a related field
Certifications:
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License required
