What you’ll be doing as an Inspector Assembly
- Inspects by visual examination or precision measurement with instruments, jigs, fixtures, templates, patterns, designs, assemblies, installations, materials, finishes, mattings, fittings, sizes, dimensions, layouts, locations, and quality workmanship.
- Approves acceptable work or rejects all work which fails to meet required standards and recommends corrective action to prevent recurrence.
- Rechecks when corrective measures have been completed. In all cases inspectors must have had additional training and experience required to handle the more difficult and complicated phases of inspection work.
- Inspectors are required to adhere to and follow the Quality Inspection Manual Process, Amarillo Stamp Awareness Guidelines, and other related policies, procedures, and processes.
- Operates special kinds of testing instruments and equipment as required.
- Works from complicated or detailed blueprints, diagrams, engineering orders, etc., to obtain proper specifications.
- May be assigned to various assembly inspection groups or to other phases of inspection of equal or lower level.
Skills You Bring To this Role
- Knowledge of precision measuring instruments and special alignments.
- Knowledge of electricians and/or mechanics tools.
- Ability to prioritize work, strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a team player mindset.
- Excellent communicator, must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, and brief leaders/customers.
