What You Can Expect as a Quality Manager:
This position is responsible to the Quality Control Director for the overall operation of the Quality Department. The Quality Manager holds final authority in the release to service of airframes, engines, propellers, appliances, and component parts. Additionally, this role directs, plans, and defines inspection standards, methods, and procedures in compliance with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturer specifications, and recommendations.
You Will Be ESSENTIAL to Many FUNCTIONS, Including:
- Supervise, mentor, and guide Quality Department team members.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and skill development.
- Participate in hiring, disciplinary actions, and conduct quarterly performance evaluations.
- Liaise with the FAA to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Ensure all inspections are properly performed and documented.
- Maintain up-to-date technical data and ensure use of current revisions.
- Oversee calibration and periodic checks of inspection tools and equipment.
- Manage acceptance of incoming materials and airworthiness of externally repaired items.
- Ensure accurate execution and availability of inspection records, reports, and forms.
- Prevent the use of "bogus" or "unapproved" parts through strict procurement procedures.
- Verify proper maintenance log and work order entries.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.
- Communicate effectively in English (speaking, reading, writing).
