• Repair and overhaul structures for F18-EF Flight Controls
• Identify fastener types (rivet, blind rivet, screw, hi-lock, bolt, lock bolt); read blueprints, process data sheets, and maintenance instruction manuals
• Demonstrate knowledge of cleaning, corrosion prevention and control, polish, and dry wash tasks
• Remove and reinstall access panels and fairings; remove damaged screws without damaging surrounding structure
• Install safety wire and cotter pins
• Apply aircraft finishes (primer and paint), Alodine, and sealants; close-tolerance drill within .001 and precision measure within .0005 in metallic and composite structures
• Perform structural repairs and modifications on strike fighters, commercial derivative aircraft, and flight control components
• Utilize measuring tools: micrometer, dial caliper, grip gauges, feeler gauge, depth gauge, trimic, and bore gauges
• Fabricate, locate, trim, drill/ream, and assemble metallic and composite components; make major/minor modifications to aircraft skins and structural components; install rivets, blind fasteners, hi-loks, etc. in metallic and composite structures
• Properly utilize Assembly Jigs (AJ), Repair Equipment (RE), and other fixed tooling to locate parts, trim, shim, final drill, debur, and build components to blueprint requirements
• Accurately complete aircraft technical log books, maintenance documentation, work packages, and zonal handovers within prescribed timescales in conjunction with program leads and managers
• Highlight technical issues, discrepancies, or other concerns to the program lead and manager

• 3+ years as an aircraft mechanic (commercial, defense, or relevant trade apprenticeship)
• 3+ years reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
• Ability to close-tolerance drill within .003 and precision measure within .003
• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to read and comprehend Airworthiness Directives, Technical Directives, and Service Bulletins
• Knowledge of common fastener sizes and correct cutting tools for removal and installation processes

Full-Time – 1st Shift 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with ability to work 1st or 2nd shift per business need
