Our Technical Operations team comprises aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities professionals, and supply chain teams that help ensure our planes are well taken care of and ready to get our customers to their desired destinations. Key Responsibilities:
As a Base Maintenance Technical Planner, you’ll be pivotal in managing aircraft heavy maintenance visits at internal and vendor facilities. You’ll create comprehensive work packages and coordinate with various departments to ensure a smooth maintenance process. From analyzing post-visit data to identifying optimization opportunities, you’ll be at the forefront of improving our aircraft maintenance operations. We’re looking for individuals with problem-solving abilities, technical knowledge, and an innovative mindset to help us achieve excellence.
- Develop and deliver on-time maintenance packages that meet work scope, budgeted labor hours, span, and cost for stations and the fleet.
- Partner with Maintenance Programs, Engineering, Records, and other planning teams to address and resolve maintenance station issues.
- Work with the airframe vendor management team, Materials, QC, and Tooling to ensure a successful aircraft induction process.
- Review and analyze post-visit data to uncover opportunities for improvement in maintenance programs, scheduling, or workflows.
- Propose and implement changes that enhance efficiency and effectiveness in maintenance processes.
- Adjust work packages as needed to accommodate hangar plan changes or new/additional tasks.
- Ensure coordination with affected teams (stations, Airframe Contracts, Engineering, etc.) when modifications or changes are required.
NOTE: This position is based at the CSC-Willis Tower, located in Chicago, IL, and is considered a hybrid work schedule, with three days in the office.
QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Supply Chain/Logistics, Business, or related field) or equivalent in aircraft maintenance or maintenance planning experience
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance programs
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all levels and collaborate with internal and external partners
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously through effective prioritization
- Travel: 10 of the time
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Successful completion of the interview process
- Diligent, punctual attendance is a critical function of the role
What will help you propel from the pack:
- Experience in aircraft maintenance, aircraft maintenance planning, supply chain, engineering, or similar aviation expertise
- At least one year of planning or management
- Previous work experience with an airline, aviation, or related technical field (including internships)
- FAA A&P
The base pay range for this role is $87,780.00 to $119,680.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
