JOB TITLE: Accounts Receivable Supervisor DEPARTMENT: AccountingFLSA STATUS: Exempt
JOB BRIEF:
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable/Billing Supervisor to join the team in our Dallas, TX office. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and efficient billing processes, timely collections, and effective management of accounts receivable. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of AR/billing experience, preferably within the aviation industry, with Sage Intacct experience being a major plus.
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE SUPERVISOR ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Accounts Receivable/Billing Operations: Oversee the end-to-end AR/billing process to ensure accuracy and timeliness for all SurfAir Mobility product offerings. Manage submission of invoices for factoring of government contracts. Identify opportunities for automation and elimination of existing manual processes.
- Accounts Receivable Management: Monitor and maintain AR aging reports to ensure timely collections and minimal delinquencies. Develop and implement strategies to streamline AR processes. Handle escalated customer account issues, including chargeback disputes and customer refunds.
- Reporting & Compliance : Prepare regular AR and billing, and collection reports for management. Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual agreements, and regulatory requirements. Reviews and/or prepares federal, state, and other regulatory reports, ensuring compliance as assigned
- General Ledger and Audit : Reviews and/or prepares financial transactions and/or general ledger journal entries and supporting documentation to ensure their accuracy necessary action to correct any errors. Provides information and support to auditors and management as needed: prepares audit schedules as necessary.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and support the AR team members to meet performance goals. Assign tasks, review work for accuracy, and provide constructive feedback. Foster a collaborative and efficient team environment.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- A minimum of 5 years of accounts receivable/billing experience, preferably within the aviation industry.
- Strong proficiency in accounting and billing principles.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet the deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong Excel skills.
Miscellaneous Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Computer, phone skills.
- Ability to read, write and speak English effectively.
- Ability to work within a 24/7 operation including holidays.
- Ability to pass 7-year background check and pre-employment drug screen per airline regulations and/or company policy.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. per the Immigration Act of 1986.
Physical requirements:
- Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position in a normal office environment.
- Must be able to communicate through verbal, written and electronic means.
- Must be able to access filing cabinets, drawers, and shelves of varying height.
- Must be able to move up to 25 pounds on an infrequent basis.
