Job Description:
Reports to the Hybrid Electric Systems Test Manager and is the accountable owner for procurement, logistics, and end-to-end asset lifecycle of test-enabling hardware (TEH). Places direct and indirect requisitions and manages appropriate P‑card to support test operations; designs, launches, and operates a lightweight inventory system; manages shipping and deployment between sites; runs calibration schedules for instrumentation, DAQ, and test/measurement tools; and maintains configuration control so assets are available to support test schedules. Converts demand signals from Test Leads and hardware design owners into on-time, right‑first‑time readiness, adopting proven GE tools where available and creating practical processes where gaps exist.This role is essential towards the safe and effective execution of GE’s suite of ground and flight technology demonstrator vehicles. These demonstrator vehicles serve as foundational platforms for maturing hybrid electric and other technologies central to the realization of the aviation industry’s sustainability goals in the first half of the 21st century.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Translate test schedules into clear demand signals (items, quantities, need dates) from Test Leads and hardware owners; allocate shared assets across sites, communicate reuse vs. buy‑additional, and resolve conflicts to protect schedule
  • Build procurement plans aligned to test windows; issue direct and indirect requisitions, execute P‑card buys as appropriate; track PO status, lead times, and recovery actions
  • Create and operate a simple, reliable inventory and serialization system for Hybrid TEH assets with accurate location and custody traceability
  • Plan and execute kitting; verify kit completeness and configuration correctness to enable seamless test installations
  • Coordinate with calibration labs to establish and manage calibration schedules for instrumentation, DAQ, and test/measurement tools
  • Develop and present a weekly readiness dashboard for leadership and stakeholders covering availability, delivery milestones, calibration status, risks, and mitigation actions
  • Uphold safety and quality in asset movement, storage, and staging

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical supply chain/logistics managing procurement and inventory for industrial/aerospace/automotive hardware
  • On‑site in Evendale, OH; ability to travel regularly to Dayton, OH (GE EPISCenter) and infrequently to suppliers as needed
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.  We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Desired Characteristics

  • Relevant exposure to manufacturing/tool/software/design; comfortable with kitting, serialization, and traceability
  • Self‑starter with strong problem solving; builds lightweight processes and drives solutions

  • Basic understanding of fabrication, manufacturing, and assembly methods; comfortable in shop environments
  • Collaborative and resourceful; partners across lab maintenance and operations to unblock issues and keep tests on track
  • Proficient with Excel/Smartsheet; comfortable building simple tools, workflows, and dashboards
