As an IT Delivery Manager, you will plan and drive the end-to-end delivery of technology solutions, through effective planning, team management and stakeholder engagement, ensuring a timely, cost-effective, and exceptional value to end users and customers. Lead multiple high-visibility initiatives within a fast-paced, multi-business unit environment, applying hybrid (for package acquisition) or waterfall methodologies to ensure successful outcomes.


In this role you will:

  • Manage key activities such as project planning, stakeholder engagement and delivery framework setup. Play a consultative role to help put in place the appropriate people, processes, and tools supporting the delivery framework and coaching members of the team as needed to optimize the delivery of the assigned project.
  • Apply a hybrid project management approach that blends traditional methodologies with agile practices, tailored to the size and complexity of each initiative. Adopt PMI-ACP principles to strike the right balance between agility and predictability. Track progress using tools like JIRA, MS Project, or Planview, and deliver clear, timely updates to IT leadership and stakeholders.
  • Lead the Integrated Programme Planning (Lean Start Up), working with portfolio teams and supporting the Technical Product team. Drive and facilitate decomposition of Roadmaps into Integrated Program/Project backlog/plans (Features), ready for hand off to the respective team level backlogs.
  • Drive quality and ensure that acceptance criteria is met and a sustainable pace adhering to the agreed quality management plan with the team. Maintain a project management tool (e.g. ScrumDesk, JIRA,Planview etc.).
  • Support the Technical Product team in managing business expectations and transparency across product backlogs and schedules for all initiatives. Manage project changes, risks, issues, scope creep, and evolving requirements through formal change control processes. Supports IT service management team on service performance and continuous improvements. Promote delivery governance through structured ceremonies and performance metrics tracking (e.g., budget, forecast, defect rates) to ensure stakeholder visibility.
  • Assist with cost estimation and sizing exercises for both near term and future initiatives and work with the product team to prepare total cost of ownership. Ensure accurate forecasting and maintain budget adherence throughout the fiscal year. Contribute to procurement activities by supporting RFx phases and aligning schedules with the product lifecycle.
  • Promote a culture of trust and psychological safety. Practice servant leadership by removing roadblocks, resolving conflicts, and enabling team decision-making. Drive team growth and backlog throughput through accountability and cross-functional collaboration.
Qualification

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 8+ years of proven leadership and project delivery experience in a matrix organisation, within global teams in a large organisation.
  • Proven ability to lead end-to-end delivery of large, complex technology transformation programmes, including workplace tools, unified communications, telephony, contact centre technologies, and infrastructure modernisation.
  • Strong programme and project governance capability, including planning, dependency management, risk control, milestone tracking, and benefits realisation within large-scale change environments.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise architecture and large-scale systems, with experience supporting cloud-based voice transformation, migration, integration, and service continuity.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering within complex enterprise technology change programmes, applying Agile and/or hybrid methodologies (SAFe, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, CSM or similar certifications desirable).
  • Ability to engage and influence senior business stakeholders, lead cross-functional teams, and manage multiple technology vendors and service providers to drive accountability and outcomes.
  • Experience driving organisational change, user adoption, and structured communication strategies to maximise business value from modern workplace initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly messaging while fostering a culture of openness and transparency.
  • Proficient in software delivery and collaboration tools (e.g. MS Office Suite, JIRA, Planview, Confluence).
