As the IT Manager, dnata Airport Operations Amsterdam, you will be responsible for the IT function including leading the strategy, delivery, and governance of IT systems and services aligned with the onednata Group vision and global strategy. You will drive process optimisation, product ownership, and customer focused services across the business. Ensuring future ready IT through effective project, vendor, and team management.
In this role, you will:
- Shape the future of IT by developing and implementing a 3–5-year strategy aligned with business and Group objectives, ensuring technology is a key enabler of growth and innovation.
- Act as the IT business partner and single point of accountability for all IT matters, building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and influencing strategic investment decisions.
- Deliver results by overseeing the planning and execution of IT projects and services, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards, while validating business cases and ROI with stakeholders.
- Drive operational excellence by leading service management and ensuring IT systems and infrastructure meet performance, security, and reliability standards, monitoring service levels, and driving continuous improvement.
- Lead technical design by guiding discussions to ensure the feasibility, viability, and desirability of a portfolio of products, strategizing solutions to complex business problems, and overseeing system requirements, architecture, and technical designs.
- Manage vendors and partners by overseeing relationships, contracts, and SLAs, and ensuring external partners deliver value aligned with business IT strategy.
- Champion cybersecurity by developing and maintaining policies and infrastructure, and implementing data protection and risk management practices across IT operations.
- Inspire and develop teams by leading, coaching, and growing a high-performing IT function, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Ensure compliance and safety by upholding legal, safety, and environmental standards across all IT operations, promoting a secure and compliant working environment.
- Promote innovation by staying ahead of technology trends and identifying opportunities to improve business performance through smarter IT solutions.
QualificationTo be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in IT or other related field.
- 8+ years of proven experience of working in a large organisation with a track record of leading and delivering large scale programmes.
- 5+ years of managing large vendors that deliver technology solutions to the organisation.
- Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
- Solid architectural knowledge of large-scale solutions, complex technical products and various technical patterns and platforms.
- Demonstrated success of transforming IT delivery across large Programmes of work to deliver value to the business.
- Proven experience of technology product delivery at scale across multiple functions to meet key business objectives.
- Experience of having worked across multiple technology domains and verticals, as well as having been in a managerial or leadership position.
- Aviation or Cargo industry experience
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills.
- Experience of working with agile and traditional delivery tools (e.g., Jira, PPM), as well as software development and process improvement (e.g., Lean, Sig Sigma).
- Able to obtain relevant security clearances
