About the Role
An exciting opportunity to join the Qatar Airways Finance - Technical Strategy & Transformation Department as Project Manager. The role will manage and successfully deliver assigned projects and solutions in compliance with the project standards and processes of Qatar Airways, to meet defined business requirements within agreed timescales and cost. Closely support SM Continuous Improvement by enabling new strategies for more efficient and effective project tracking, visibility and accountability within the department.
Your duties would include:
Align with the Head of Departments strategic direction, support with the development and implementation of the project strategy, through ideation, establishing success criteria, framework, and data-led initiatives.
Enhance department project management capabilities by automating processes, introducing new project management technology, and ensuring well-defined documentation is in place.
Drive a change in project management methodology, introducing a more agile approach with greater accountability, that is solution-focused and customer oriented.
Work closely with the Management team to solve business unit project problems, redefining processes, developing support tools, and providing project level guidance.
Provide strategic and ongoing departmental reports for the Head of Department and Senior Management as required.
Research and innovation of special projects as decided by the line manager in order to aid operational performance, thereby conceptualizing progressive functions to prepare summary reports, briefing notes, analytical information and presentations.
Develop project plans that are realistic, maintained and properly resourced.
Manage project delivery ensuring that it is within time, within cost and to the highest quality.
Ensure projects are carried out through the defined phases fully complying with QR processes and procedures.
Develop solutions that meet agreed requirements and business expectations, are maintainable and meet documented and agreed criteria.
Identify and track risks impacting projects and develop and implement mitigating actions.
Manage stakeholder expectations through frequent interactions in order to ensure a balance between immediate project needs and long-term goals of the division.
Implement process flows and manage the execution of project milestones with a focus on maintaining or improving project service levels.
