United Airlines’ Customer Technology Platform department partners with business and technology leaders across the company to create services and applications across key airline functionalities such as Booking, Check-in, Payment, Reservation systems and Operational Systems to help support the commercial and digital Channels of United.
The Senior Front end Angular Developer plays a Critical role in creating and maintaining the strategic partnership between business needs and technology delivery As a Front-End Angular Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining exceptional user interfaces for our web applications.. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues, opportunities or problems in order to maximize the benefit of IT and Business investments. The Senior Developer is highly experienced and has decision-making authority. The Senior Developer is self – sufficient, requires no direct supervision, and mentors/coaches’ others. The Senior Developer has extensive knowledge/experience across multiple technologies and business areas.
• Leads the design, development, and planning for solutions and technology standards to solve complex business problems
• Hands-on development, Good Knowledge of Micro FrontEnd Architecture. Support and troubleshoot software systems as required, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing follow-up on all issues and solutions.
• Develop and implement user interfaces using Angular, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to best practices.
• Work as a Senior Frontend Developer to contribute in various streams of implementation of international and complex systems.
• Collaborate with agile team members to achieve project and client goals
• Participation in design and test activities
• Works with business, support, or development teams recommending system enhancements
• Consults across multiple United Information Technology projects and technology areas to perform troubleshooting, problem management, root-cause analysis, and solution implementation
• Serves as a resource for technology/project development review and technical assessments
• Ensures that the technical solutions meet the customers’ business goals
• Provide consultation and technical leadership in project life cycle planning
• Ensures consistency and coherence to the enterprise standards and guiding principles throughout the application lifecycle
• Identifies opportunities to leverage/influence the direction for existing infrastructure and application components
• Provides feedback to the enterprise technology owners and Architects regarding future solution needs
• Ensure that all frontend implementations align with business goals, performance standards, and accessibility guidelines.
• Provide technical leadership during sprint planning, estimation, and solution design within the project lifecycle.
• Uphold consistency in frontend coding standards and best practices, promoting reusability, scalability, and alignment with enterprise UI/UX design principles.
• Stay current with frontend technologies, frameworks, and industry trends to continually enhance development practices and tooling.
• Share feedback and collaborate with architecture teams to align Angular components and frontend strategies with broader enterprise guidelines.
• Demonstrate mastery of the application of development domain areas and multiple technologies and tool set
