Position Summary:
AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Jupiter, Florida that is a leading aftermarket service provider for multi-platform OEM gas turbine power plants worldwide.
The Shipping Lead is responsible for preparing, packaging, and processing outbound shipments in accordance with customer, carrier, and company requirements. This hands-on position supports warehouse operations by safely operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment to stage, load, and move materials.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare, package, and stage outbound materials for domestic and international shipments.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, strapping machines, and other warehouse material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring materials are properly secured and protected during transport.
- Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation accurately.
- Coordinate carrier pickups and ensure shipments are dispatched on time.
- Communicate with warehouse, logistics, and production teams to resolve shipment issues or delays.
- Follow all TSA, DOT, and OSHA compliance requirements and adhere to company safety policies.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, strapping machines, and other warehouse material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall warehouse operations.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of shipping, warehouse, or logistics experience.
- Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, strapping machines, and other warehouse equipment required.
- Experience with RF scan guns, shipping software, and carrier portals (FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.) preferred.
- Familiarity with SAP or other MRP/ERP systems preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and accurately.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
- Must be available for overtime or weekend work as needed.
