Key Responsibilities

Machining & Fabrication

• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC and conventional machining equipment, including mills and lathes.
• Produce precision components to exact specifications using 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical data to ensure accurate part fabrication.
• Perform machining operations such as drilling, milling, turning, boring, and threading.

Quality & Inspection

• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Verify tolerances and surface finishes meet engineering and quality requirements.
• Document work performed in accordance with company and regulatory standards.

Operational Support

• Maintain equipment, tooling, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve machining challenges.
• Participate in continuous improvement and 5-S initiatives.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all Environmental Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements for shop and manufacturing operations.
• Perform all tasks safely, efficiently, and with a strong commitment to quality.

Work Schedule:

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of CNC machining experience with conventional mills or lathes, including 3-axis and 5-axis mills
• Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings and blueprints
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, feeds, and speeds
• Experience with precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work unscheduled overtime, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures
• Basic PC skills required
