We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our team in Wichita, Kansas. Key Responsibilities
Machining & Fabrication
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC and conventional machining equipment, including mills and lathes.
- Produce precision components to exact specifications using 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical data to ensure accurate part fabrication.
- Perform machining operations such as drilling, milling, turning, boring, and threading.
Quality & Inspection
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Verify tolerances and surface finishes meet engineering and quality requirements.
- Document work performed in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
Operational Support
- Maintain equipment, tooling, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve machining challenges.
- Participate in continuous improvement and 5-S initiatives.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all Environmental Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements for shop and manufacturing operations.
- Perform all tasks safely, efficiently, and with a strong commitment to quality.

Work Schedule:
- Monday–Friday shifts (1st and 2nd shift availability varies by production needs)

Qualifications
- Minimum 5–7 years of CNC machining experience with conventional mills or lathes, including 3-axis and 5-axis mills
- Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings and blueprints
- Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, feeds, and speeds
- Experience with precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work unscheduled overtime, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures
- Basic PC skills required
