We’re looking for an experienced Automation & Controls Technician to support our distribution facility and keep our PLC, BMS, and material handling systems operating at the highest level.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll troubleshoot and improve controls, perform preventative and emergency maintenance, and partner with engineers and vendors to keep the entire operation moving.
Pay Rate: $41.50/hr
Schedule: 1st Shift Wed–Sat
Type: Temp-to-Hire (conversion in as little as 90 days!)

What You’ll Be DoingTroubleshoot and modify PLC logic, HMI interfaces, and building management systems
Analyze system performance trends and improve metrics at macro and micro levels
Perform preventive maintenance for automation and maintain electrical/control spare parts
Assist with scheduled PMs on mechanical material handling equipment (conveyors, sorters, etc.)
Respond to emergency breakdowns to minimize downtime
Coordinate with vendors on electrical/control installations as needed
Maintain accurate documentation — work orders, parts logs, timesheets, and maintenance records
Perform parts procedure and inventory control to support maintenance effectiveness
What We’re Looking ForCore Skills & Technical Knowledge
PLC troubleshooting & hardware knowledge (Pico, MicroLogix 1500, CompactLogix, ControlLogix, SLC 500, 1794 Flex I/O)
BMS/HVAC controls familiarity
Understanding of 3-phase power distribution, transmission, grounding, and arc flash safety
Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, robotic, and vision system assembly
Ability to connect, test, and maintain electrical systems (security, climate, comms, etc.)
Mechanical material handling experience & emergency repair support
Familiarity (bonus) with WAGO I/O, Siemens Step 7, CAN, B&R X67

Pay Details: $41.50 per hour
