Quality Assurance Technician – PCB InspectionLocation: On-site manufacturing facility
Shift: Swing Shift, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Pay Range: $26–$35/hour
Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Technician with strong PCB inspection experience to support high-quality production of aerospace-related hardware. This role is highly detail-focused and involves extended microscope work, making it ideal for candidates with exceptional visual inspection skills and IPC knowledge.
Note: This is a fully on-site role. Remote work is not available.
Certifications- IPC-A-610 certification preferred (valid or expired)
Inspection Method & Work Environment- Inspection Type: 100 visual inspection (no automated testing)
- Tools: Microscope only
- Duration: 7–8 hours per shift performing microscope-based inspection
- Focus: PCB and electronic assembly quality
Core Responsibilities- Perform detailed visual PCB inspections per IPC-A-610 standards
- Inspect electronic assemblies using microscopes to identify defects, missing components, and workmanship issues
- Read and interpret schematics and circuit diagrams
- Verify correct component population and identify missing or incorrect parts
- Accurately identify electronic components such as:
- Resistors (current regulation)
- Capacitors (energy storage and release)
- Identify, document, and communicate defects to quality and production teams
- Document material flow through MRB (Material Review Board) and IQC (Incoming Quality Control)
- Create and maintain rework instructions
- Maintain quality dashboards and inspection reporting
- Support incoming inspection of mechanical components and PBCAs
- Train and educate production operators on quality standards and inspection findings
- Collaborate cross-functionally to identify process, design, or supplier-related issues
Required Skills- IPC-A-610 knowledge
- PCB inspection experience
- Microscope-based inspection
- Ability to focus on precision work for extended periods
- Strong defect identification and documentation skills
- Clear verbal and written communication
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in consumer electronics or aerospace manufacturing
- Familiarity with electronic assembly processes
- Experience with cosmetic inspection
- Knowledge of quality measurement tools (gauges, calipers, scales, CMM, OMM, etc.)
- Experience with MRB and IQC processes
- Working knowledge of spreadsheets and Google Slides
- Exceptional attention to detail

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $35.00/hr.
