We are excited to be interviewing for a Security Officer to join our team! In this role, you will help protect our people, aircraft, facilities, and equipment by monitoring activity, enforcing safety and security policies, and responding to incidents across our campus. This is a hands-on, safety-focused position that required attention to detail, situational awareness, and a strong sense of responsibility. As we are a 24/7 operation, we are looking for someone with flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Patrol the facility by vehicle and on foot to protect company people, property, aircraft, and facilities.
- Identify and report hazardous or unsafe conditions across the flightline, storage areas, and roadways.
- Provide first response during aircraft emergencies or other facility incidents.
- Investigate incidents or accidents and complete reports with photographs and diagrams.
- Control visitor access, issue visitor badges, and verify authorization for entry to restricted areas.
- Conduct visual inspections of buildings, grounds, and aircraft for unauthorized entry.
- Conduct searches of vehicles or individuals when required.
- Enforce onsite traffic control, including conducting vehicle stops and issuing traffic citations when appropriate.
- Interview and document statements from employees, visitors, or witnesses related to incidents.
- Complete daily security activity logs and department reports.
- Provide motorized or walking escorts for visitors when requested.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all training received.
- Perform routine housekeeping duties within the department.
- Ensure all assigned work is completed safely in compliance with company policies.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Proficiency with flashlights, two-way radios, and company vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of general security and safety procedures.
- Ability to read, write, and follow both verbal and written instructions in English.
- Strong written communication and report-writing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with employees, visitors, and the public.
- Ability to remain calm, focused, and effective in emergencies and high-stress situations.
- Capable of working independently and exercising sound judgement.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record for the last three years.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Post-secondary education or training in Criminal Law or related discipline preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in security or law enforcement preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and reaching above shoulder level.
- Occasional crawling, kneeling, or balancing.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds.
- Repetitive hand movements; good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Corrected vision and hearing within normal range.:
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work performed throughout the facility, including outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Operation of radios, vehicles, security equipment, handheld devices, and office equipment.
- Potential hazards include high noise levels, residual odors, extreme temperatures, exposure to materials listed on Material Safety Data Sheets, and working around moving machinery.
OTHER DUTIES:
- May be required to work at both Marana, AZ and Tucson, AZ locations as business needs dictate.
- Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of department management.
