Join Us as a Plater / Surface Finishes – Process Operator

Your precision and attention to detail will ensure the highest quality finishes for our landing gear components. Working within the Surface Finishes department, youll carry out plating processes including cadmium, chrome, nickel, and zinc/nickel, while supporting continuous improvement and maintaining safety standards. If youre passionate about craftsmanship and quality, this is your opportunity to make an impact.

What youll be doing:

•tProcess components through plating operations such as cadmium, chrome, nickel, and zinc/nickel.
•tPerform associated tasks including oven work and cadmium passivation.
•tMeasure components before and after plating using micrometers, calipers, and permascopes.
•tManage chemical additions to processing vats and ensure compliance with specifications.
•tContribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping.

Job Requirements:

What you'll bring

•\tExperience in plating processes or a completed processing apprenticeship.
•\tCompetence in using precision measuring equipment and interpreting technical drawings.
•\tStrong problem-solving skills to diagnose equipment issues and support process improvements.
•\tExcellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive and self-managed approach.
•\tCommitment to 5S principles, safe working practices, and continuous improvement.
