Synopsis
At Etihad Aviation Training, we are committed to delivering world-class pilot training that meets the highest regulatory standards and prepares future aviators for excellence. The Theoretic Knowledge Instructor plays a key role in shaping the knowledge, discipline, and professionalism of our cadets, instructors, and examiners.
This role is accountable for delivering high-quality theoretical knowledge courses, ensuring full compliance with GCAA/EASA regulations, and maintaining the highest levels of instructional standardization and trainee support. Working closely with the Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor, you will help create an environment where trainees are supported, engaged, and consistently meeting the benchmarks required for operational readiness.
Accountabilities
Instructional Delivery: Conduct theoretical knowledge training for Etihad Aviation Training cadets, instructors, and examiners in line with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Training Excellence: Deliver approved lesson plans with precision and consistency, ensuring standardization and adherence to Etihad’s training philosophy.
Curriculum Currency: Incorporate the latest protocols, regulations, and best practices into training programs to ensure ongoing compliance and instructional relevance.
Trainee Monitoring: Track the performance of assigned cadets, with particular attention to those requiring additional support, and ensure progress issues are addressed in coordination with leadership.
Coordination & Collaboration: Liaise with the Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor to escalate and resolve any issues affecting training quality or trainee development.
Safety & Risk Management: Identify safety risks within the training environment and implement appropriate mitigation measures in line with Etihad Aviation Training’s risk assessment framework.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of lesson delivery, instructional materials, and trainee engagement to achieve the highest standards of training quality.
Education & Experience
College degree or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 5 years of experience delivering theoretical knowledge instruction, preferably within an EASA/GCAA-approved ATO offering integrated ATPL/MPL courses.
Strong operational knowledge in the relevant aviation subjects being taught.
Must meet applicable GCAA regulatory requirements under CAR-FCL and CAR-ORA for the position.
Holding or having held a professional pilot’s licence is an advantage.

Training at EAT is conducted by using its state-of-the-art training center featuring 10 Full-Flight Simulators (Airbus and Boeing), 7 Flight Training Devices and 2 Flight Navigation Procedural trainers.
