ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for managing existing accounts and developing new business opportunities to sell SITA products and solutions. The role is primarily focused on airports, airlines, and government customers, while also exploring opportunities in adjacent transportation sectors such as maritime, land, and rail. The objective is to generate a strong sales pipeline and achieve sales targets in line with SITA’s sales KPIs.
Reporting to the Sales Account Director, this role is part of the LAT South Territory and is responsible for the Passenger, Baggage, Airport, and Government portfolio.
What you will do:
- Map and develop profiles of existing and prospective accounts.
- Engage accounts to generate, retain, and close business opportunities.
- Achieve sales targets through selling, upselling, and cross-selling. Outbound outreach, consultative, and influence-based techniques may be used. Travel may be required.
- Work with Marketing on lead-generation and spanet-development initiatives to raise awareness of SITA’s brand and solutions.
- Develop strong knowledge of SITA products, solutions, and sales programs (e.g., Challenger Program).
- Keep the opportunity pipeline and sales forecast in Salesforce up to date weekly, including key notes and discussions.
- Maintain accurate customer and prospect contact data in Salesforce (CFF Contacts, Marketing Contacts, etc.).
- Prepare weekly English reports for a GEO-wide audience, highlighting priorities and support needed to close deals.
- Support the GEO Cash Collection team with cash collection and billing inquiries, as required.
- Assist the GEO Delivery and Support teams in resolving conflicts and complex decisions, as needed.
Qualifications
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS:
- 4-6 years sales experience, preferably within air transport industry (ATI) or technology sector.
- Proven successful track record of achieving/exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in building up client relationships and business development over the phone and including face to face meetings
- Generating & closing new business opportunities as well retention business.
- Ability to work with other business areas to identify/qualify opportunities.
- Support collaborative activities across BU’s to identify resource and investment needs.
- Knowledge of legal implications and of the structure of contract with Client.
- Knowledge of financial management.
- Bilingual fluent in English and Spanish, Portuguese a plus
- Location based in Chile
